The 2021 Team USA Cycling Kit.

This year 7 of our BAA teammates qualified for the Gran Fondo World Championships. They are held in Bosnia this year. 2 years ago another teammate (Richard Farabee) qualified, he raced in Poland for the championships that year. In order to race in the world championships you have to do a few things like upgrade your racing license to a UCI license. One of the things they insist on is that you represent your country when racing and that your cycling kit be representative from the country you are repping at the race. This necessitated a new kit design. We got together and designed this new Team USA kit as a result. Of course, anyone can wear it- you do not have to go to the World Championships to buy it.

The kit is designed to be sharp with a less is more feel. The stars and stripes on this kit are subtle and powerful. The stars are black and on one side of the chest. A small US flag emblem on the chest, and then one arm cuff and one leg cuff are both the US flag. The kit has a Blue base with elements of Red and White – all American color scheme. We love this kit. They are awesome and we would love to share it with you all.

The Chamois Pad: The chamois pad is comparable to the famous Assos pads. In the 2020 edition of the kit we are using exclusively the endurance chamois pad. The Endurance chamois is more comfortable over longer periods of riding and provides you with the support you need for both short and long distance cycling goals. There are no cycling shorts options, just bibs.

Sizing

Please note that we make these in race fit for a reason. Even our club members who only casually ride will benefit from the comfortable and sleek feel of the material and patterns used in the higher performing race fit edition of the kit. Check sizing carefully and know that when you order your kit you are committing to the size. We custom order your kit for you and can’t simply return it. There are no returns, and we do not carry much in stock. You are welcome to order more than one size if you are unsure. They are meant to snug your body. So if you like it loose then you may want to order a size or two up. See the sizing chart below.

Turn Around Time

Each kit is custom ordered and made for you. We open the store for a short time period (usually a week or two) and then we close it and submit one large order. From the date we close the team store and submit your order it is usually about a 5-6 week turn around time. Plan accordingly.

We custom make our cycling gear and do not keep it in stock. We will indicate on our store if a particular item is “in stock” or “back ordered.” You may buy any of gear at anytime, however if it is “back ordered” then you must wait for our next batch order. We submit the our custom gear orders to our manufacturer in batches a few times throughout the year. The turn around time is approximately 6 weeks from a batch order submission.
